Felt a glimpse of freedom and joy for the first time after 2 months. Somewhere along the line, I must have lost the sense of self and identity. I need to get it back, slowly but surely.
Hobbies
1) Travelling. Trying out their delicacies, learning about the people there, buying souvenirs. I grew fond of travelling after I went to Xiamen, China. It was a fantastic experience understanding their culture and food :D No doubt it was really tough being without family and Nerdy there, but I felt joy. A joy that also could be felt only when I bake or cook. I'm going to enroll myself for future overseas trips sponsored by school. Prolly those short trips like a week. 2) Diving. Not very fond of diving all along because it's alot of money($500 plus at Phuket?), first thing. Next would be that it's quite risky and what if sharks come and eat you up? :( One fine day if I'm really bored with my life I just might try diving :D 3) Cycling. Havent been doing much cycling after my bike got stolen in 2010 :( But nevermind, when I'm working I'll get a nice red bicycle with a big big basket. Will park it at the MRT station in future, instead of outside my house. -.- 4) Working. Yes, working. Gives me a sense of fufillment and extra kaching is always good (: I would love to work in a childcare centre, as an IT fair salesperson, event based jobs, etc. That's all for today :) Have been getting headaches almost everyday.
But today I'm pretty smiley. :) You still bear grudges from 2 years ago. Well, I cant change anything or what you think of me. But all I have to say is, stop the hate. Grow up. In Xiamen, I've learnt many things. Cliche as it sounds, it was a "good learning experience" for me.
Good things that happened to me: 1) Excellent service from China people 2) Bought many souvenirs to express my love for my family and friends. 3) My roommate was kind to me (other than the fact that she is a nutcase and drama queen). She lent me her computer when my broke down for the whole trip. 4) Went to many nice places. e.g: Coca Cola Factory, Gulangyu, Quanzhou, Zhong Shan Lu, Xia Da Xi Cun. Most of the places were to shop. 5) Got to try Zha Jiang Mian. It is a korean dish with thinly sliced cucumbers, with black sauce and minced meat. The sauce was REALLY black, for the one that I ate. It was one of my favourite dishes in Xiamen 6) Tried Cucumber Lays. Saw from a girl on youtube that she recommended this flavour of lays. Because I went to Xiamen, only then I had the privilege to try it 7) Learnt how to be independant, do laundry by myself (using the hotel's bathtub), and survive on my own 8) Lost 1 kg there :D 9) I didnt get sick, even though I didnt take the flu jab :DDDDD 10) Got to know 3 nice friends whom I'll keep them in my heart, for life. As I mentioned in my previous post. Rebecca (Nice girl), Guanhui(Can relate), Goat(Though distant, but funny) 11) Went to pizzahut. The place there was TOP NOTCH baby. The pizzas were like Ooohh Lala, the side dishes were like yumyum, the company there was awesome. 12) Went to Starbucks. Had my lunch there of tuna sandwich(the bomb), chocolate lamington(soso), Green Tea Frapuccino(Not bad). 13) Many lovely dinner with my group mates. Bad things that happened to me: Unexpected 1) Laptop broke down 2) Handphone broke down 3) Wallet got stolen. Inside cash ~ 200 SGD. (Insurance can claim back though) 4) Did my most hated subject, Biz Communication. Hate public speaking to.the.max. And I got B for it (Havent moderate), which will pull my GPA down. So I hate it even more. 5) My group mates used to have a misunderstanding about me ): But later they began to understand who I really am, and then they were kinder. It definitely hurt and made me feel lonely, but it was a misunderstanding after all. I guess when I'm in their shoes I will misunderstand as well. So nevermind. ): 6) Got a burnout there. ): A mental burnout. Expected 7) One teacher there was a total b****. Biased, critical, extremely paranoid, ngiao with marks and lastly judgemental towards people. Agree that she's only human, but she could have been more tactful and more understanding towards others. Shall not say too much because bad memories arent meant to be kept. 8) Cracked lips and dried skin 9) Breakout of many pimples 10) Hair condition went bad. Shall stop here :) If you read finish, thanks ! Cos I agree it's REALLY long. Lol. Even though there were many bad things that happened to me in Xiamen, I guess I should learn to be grateful for what I have learnt and gotten in my Xiamen trip. Have been wanting to make one of this since yesterday. Because there's so many things to do. My mind is in a total mess, with everything I need and want to do all over the place.
So here is an attempt to lay down everything and make my mind peaceful again LOL: ✓ Buy new laptop at Ngee Ann IT Fair (If there is. Hopefully Sony Vaio) 2) Buy new handphone 3) Buy new wallet ✓ Upload Xiamen photos 5) Distribute the souvenirs 6) Buy textbook, first make a list of what textbooks to buy ✓ Print timetable and week 1 notes out ✓ Get back Coca Cola bottle from Michelle, get all my folders on her computer back 9) Find my hard disk >_< ✓ Repack everything from my luggage ✓ Talk about Xiamen trip and reflect :D 12) Make Cabbage Kimchi again 13) Pay $30 for Diploma Plus ✓ Return blazer ✓ Sign up for CCA ✓ Buy textbooks 1), 6), 8), 11), 13) are priorities Today marks the end of my Xiamen OIP Trip.
Mum and Kennedy fetched me from airport. We went to eat swensons <3 After that went back home, distributed the souvenirs to my family members. My grannie likes the display toys I bought for her. :) Xiamen... I'm missing it right now. I have made some friends in my Xiamen study trip. Some of them will be my classmates, some of them will not be because they are from a different course. Some friends I will miss : Guan Hui I like that you're a cautious shopaholic. Cautious, yet likes to spend on things. Even though I dont know you for very long, but I hope to get to know you more. Rebecca You're really a bubbly person, despite what life throws at you. Vandy You're actually a very nice group mate. Just that I dont express it out. I like that you have so much knowledge, and never hesitate to share with all of us.I'm really so sorry for my mood swings. Today you asked me, you looked sad. Anything happened? I answered, nothing. i'm just tired. I'm feeling tired from putting up a strong front in front of people. Because all I want to do is just to cry.
