Are you proud of what you're looking at, or do you quickly look away?
Truth is, we all struggle with self esteem issues from time to time, whether or not big or small.
Some people are happy go lucky and they are full of confidence, whereas others suffer from self esteem issues on a daily basis.
Some place too high expectations on themselves. They are perfectionists. They want only the best, nothing less. Anything lesser and they will blame themselves for not being "perfect".
Others they are, unfortunately, born into abusive families. Some have traumatic experiences and are into abusive relationships.
Whatever the reason is, it's time to break the low self esteem cycle. Too low a self esteem is detrimental to emotional and physical health.
You dont have to beat yourself down just because you've failed a test. Gained 10 pounds. Or said something embarassing in a social gathering.
Just work harder, use a different strategy.
Lose more weight by exercising.
And if you have embarassed yourself, laugh it off. Come on, other people wont brood too much into it. They are too busy with their own lives to do so. Also, this shows that nobody is perfect.
Treat yourself a little nicer, so that your day would be a little better.
-Treat yourself to a nice meal(of course, dont overinduldge).
-Make someone happy and smile(cos that will make you smile too)
-Hang out with someone you love
-Take some time to relax and chill
-Tell yourself when you have done well in a test or school presentation
and give yourself a pat on the back.
-etc etc : Make your own list.
I know it's easier said than done.
But small little acts of kindness or positive words, to others or yourself, will go a long way.
❤ Much Luv, Hannah
